Blocked well
A blocked well is the group of 3D grid cells penetrated by the wellbore trajectory. Blocked wells are automatically created when you upscale well logs with the Upscale Well Log forms on the Rock Properties and Facies strips. You can also create a blocked well with the Create > Blocked wells option in the 3D Grid context menu of a 3D grid in the JewelExplorer. You can visualize and QC any grid property on the blocked well and use it, for instance in the Property Calculator.
Right click on a blocked well in either your 3D view or the JewelExplorer to perform various tasks:
Hide (Show) Hide or show it in your view.
Mesh Color Pick the color to be used to display the mesh.
Render Mode Display it as a solid surface, as a wireframe, or as a solid surface with wireframe mesh. For a surface in a 3D mesh model, you can also select to display as a solid surface with wireframe mesh and nodes, as a solid surface with nodes, as a wireframe, as a wireframe with nodes or as nodes only.

Transparency Make it semi-transparent. Adjust the opacity value from the Property Inspector.
Lighting Turn a lighting effect on or off. The lighting effect can enhance the visibility of contours.Create a Point Set Create a point set based on the blocked well. The points are located at the center of each block. The point set is added to the Data folder.
Create Residual Log Shift Log Investigate whether mismatches exist in your model between well markers and the tops or bases of grid layers, to which the well log data is upscaled. For more on this, see Visualizing the residual log shift.
Delete Delete the object from the solution. Depending on the type of object, geometric representations, subfolders or objects it may contain are deleted as well.
